NightSky’s mission is to reimagine how investors engage with the stock market.

We aim to deliver innovative, institutional-quality investment strategies powered by disciplined, systematic, and technology-driven processes that leverage data and algorithms to offer differentiated equity exposure for individuals, experienced investors, and institutions.

Executive Summary
NightSky is a quantitative investment firm built to bring institutional-caliber, algorithm-driven equity strategies to a broader audience. Founded in 2020 by Aidan Hussain, CFA, the firm was created with a simple goal: apply disciplined, repeatable, and fully systematic processes to investing in the stock market—removing emotion and human bias from security selection and portfolio construction.

At the core of NightSky is a proprietary algorithm developed in-house. Built in Python and powered by millions of data points, the system analyzes market behavior, forms forward-looking return expectations, and uses mathematical optimization to construct portfolios designed to balance return potential and risk.  The result is a curated set of 20–40 holdings, selected and sized based on how they interact with one another—not in isolation. The same framework underpins both our U.S. Large-Cap and U.S. Small-Cap strategies, with each tailored to its respective universe. NightSky’s strategies refresh their holdings, allowing portfolios to adapt to evolving market conditions without reacting to short-term noise.

We believe differentiated outcomes in public equities are driven less by bold predictions and more by how portfolios are constructed. Our process emphasizes concentration where conviction is highest, while systematically managing diversification through analysis of historical relationships between stocks. This approach has allowed our portfolios to look meaningfully different from traditional benchmarks, including periods with limited exposure to heavily crowded segments of the market.

Today, NightSky manages approximately $2.8 million in assets and offers strategies that have also been implemented internally at a large single-family office. While outcomes will vary over time, our focus remains constant: applying a modern, institutional mindset to investing in the stock market—delivered with transparency, discipline, and precision.

The performance of an index is not an exact representation of any particular investment, as you cannot invest directly in an index. Benchmark comparative indexes represent unmanaged or average returns on various financial assets, which can be compared with funds' total returns for the purpose of measuring relative performance. Performance reflects the reinvestment of dividends from the strategy’s holdings. Returns are net of a 1% annual management fee, charged as a percent of total assets under management.
